How do you know if a programmer is a good programmer?

A GOOD PROGRAMMER has these ULTIMATE knowledge below,

 

A good programmer knows SYSTEM ANALYSIS DESIGN.

 

And Finally

 

A GOOD PROGRAMMER understood, practice, implement SOFTWARE ENGINEERING...

Is it me or this thread entirely pointless?

 

This thread is all about being a good programmer.

 

I don't think this is pointless?

 

Are you a good programmer?

 

Do you have all the characteristic of a good programmer?

yes but all i know there are more programmer that don't practice SOFTWARE ENGINEERING.

 

some just code but don't really implement software engineering practice.

 

some use php but don't use this technique.

 

just to refresh our memories.

A good programmer don't stare on the keyboard while typing.

 

A good programmer understand that studying programming is a non-stop commitment until he die.

I'm starting to have similar thoughts...

 

1. A good programmer may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.

2. A good programmer must obey orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.

3. A good programmer must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.

4. A good programmer understands that studying programming is a non-stop commitment until he becomes inoperable as long as such commitment does not conflict with any of the above laws.

Here is another additional.

 

A good programmer think or imagine his project even at rest or even while he is in relax mode.

 

Because they say our imagination works much properly while we are at rest or relax.
