Does yahoo! have thousands of web news editors there working everyday to update the news? Or is there a script provided that the authorized news editors can post a news to the website without the webmaster to upload it to the webserver?? Can somebody provide a link or info about how this works? Thanks!

Its most probably a script which uploads the news to a database. Web editing to that amount, every day, would have to have 1 error in it. I dont think Yahoo would like having their site having errors all over it just because of one dodgey news post  :)

I would have to think the same as Birdie. They would have a special "login" area for news reporters, could be in anything from PHP to ASP or even a desktop based program in visual basic, c, the options are unlimited. It would then probley either do a quick "spell check" and then im assuming they would have senior editors to overlook again and chose if its worthy of views.

If you check articles right away you'll often see many errors then as you keep refreshing they start dissapearing, sometimes they change the titles of them too
