I thought that I could type my code in notepad, do a copy, and than do a paste at the mysql prompt on my server. Well this doesn't work because I have to use the {crtl}{v} that doesn't work on my server.

Is there a way to type the mysql code in something like notepad, do a copy and paste so that when I miss a comma or something I don't have to retype the whole thing.

Mysql version: Ver 12.22 Distrib 4.0.25, for pc-linux-gnu (i686)

Thank you,

Doug
