Hi to place the code box around the code you have to use the code tags which are difficult to show as they poroduce a code box if typed so I will place them inside some quotes to try and show them, here we go

[code]"code" and to end "/code"[/code]

replace the quote marks with square brackets such as [****]

[quote]and to make it a quote and not a code box place the word "quote" inside the square brackets without the quote marks[/quote]

Also, to show bbcode not processed, use the [.nobbc][./nobbc] tags

See,
[nobbc][i]Not italics![/i][/nobbc]

Hi spires when you go to post a message you should get a big textarea and then above that there should be loads of buttons above it that have letters and images on them, such as this: [img]http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/Themes/default/images/bbc/bold.gif[/img] for making [b]bold[/b] text. To make your code to go into a code box you can click this [img]http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/Themes/default/images/bbc/code.gif[/img] button to insert BBCode tags when posting a reply. Also have a [url=http://www.phpfreaks.com/forums/index.php?action=help;page=post#bbcref]read of this page[/url] for a complete list of all BBCodes available and what each one does.
