Sharing the datadir between Linux & Windows can be harmf

Hi,

I need to use the same databases both in Linux and Windows, and I am not sure if it will be ok to share the datadir of MySQL in a FAT32 partition accessible to both operating systems.

I have searched a little with no luck.

Sorry for my english.

Thanks,

IrYoKu

Nobody knows?

Maybe I dont have explained the problem correctly.

The database files (MYD, MYI and frm) and all stuff that is in the datadir directory of mysql (by default: \"data\" inside the mysql dir -at least in windows-) changes with the different mysql versions, and with different OS or they are portable?

Thanks in advance
