you can use a number of programs for writing php code...

like dreamweaver, php designer 2006, etc..

i went onto google and just type php writing software and thats how i found mine...

i think hvle is referring to the actual core C code that PHP is written in, not the PHP code itself. that's why the post is in the core hacking forum.

hvle, PHP is indeed open source. i don't have a reference of WHERE to find the source right off, but i'll keep my eyes open and let you know if i come across anything. in the meantime, check out the wikipedia page on it here.

you can get the complete source right at http://www.php.net/downloads.php. just be sure you download the "complete source code" and not the "windows binary." if you need help unzipping the .gz file, check out 7-zip

It's actually in php.net, right off the download page.
I just take a look at it, and like a forest, more like a jungle to me.  So i will be great if someone has some kind of SDK or project file which help structurize it a bit.
yeah, i'm still using windows.
