Reading mapped network drives

Afternoon everyone.

Can PHP read an external directory on a W2K3 domain?  Such as a network share that is mapped to local computer via a logon script?  I would like to be able to list mapped folder contents out on our Intranet. 

I did a search and came up with this thread:
