random1
Hi All, I'm currently working on a mysql database that has support for a shopping cart. I have set it up to use utf-8 as the character encoding and have that working fine. Currently I have a table called 'language' that lists the languages in the database: 1) English 2) German 3) French 4) Korean ... I also have two main tables set up 'product' and 'service'. I'd like to set it up as the following: "Products, services can have multiple names, descriptions, prices, weights etc (depending on langauge)" Is the best way I should approach this to have multiples of products in the product table and have a different 'language_id' in that table? Does mysql have any specific support for multiple language content? bluejay002
UTF-8 supports multilingual... I guess. Just use the general_ci collation. Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/151168-multiple-langauges-in-database/#findComment-794179 Share on other sites
