Environment:  Apache 2 / PHP 5 / MySQL 4 / SUSE 10 / Oracle 10G

DW2004 / Phakt 3.6.5  / ADODB Connection

I just did a fresh web server install. Is there anything I need to add to my server for the connection to work? Some sort of oracle support in php?  Drivers?

Uninstall your PHP and install this.  It is what I used and it works great.

Yes.  Zend Core is completely free.  No worries.  ;)
