reminds me of two projects i started on here 1 i completed when i was in uni, i done this project where you give the database name to the class and then run the index page and a single class creates all the CMS pages by reading teh table names and feild names, that was completd.

then i started tryign to stick blobs of sound together to get speach and it was a total flop i used soxmix concatinator lol.

Its very hard to understand your question exactly (English not your first language?) but, prior to storing any users inputted data in the database run it through mysql_real_escape_string. This should fix your issue.

english is my first language but i had a bottle of vodka last night and have been doing my final year project for 6 days and 6 nights and i am a little bit woosy

i only play games on my xbox 360, pc gaming is for obsessed people

PC Gaming is for people that want more control than you get out of a console controller.

Oh, and since others are whipping out their e-penises, here's mine (I built this right at the end of 2008):

Intel Core 2 Duo E7300 Wolfdale 2.66GHz LGA 775 Dual-Core Processor

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard

EVGA 512-P3-N971-TR GeForce 9800 GT 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card

COOLER MASTER Real Power Pro RS-650-ACAA-A1 650W ATX Form Factor 12V V2.3 Active PFC Power Supply

OCZ Gold 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory (that's 8GB for those of you that can't do math)

Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive

Plus DVD Burner, sound card, case, blah blah.  The boring stuff.  And I also still have my old 250GB HD plus my 250GB backup external drive.  And I'm running out of space!

And I'm running Vista Ultimate 64-bit.

edit: I forgot that I changed my order (I copied all of that from another board where I had it posted).  I actually have a BFG GTX video card (same series/specs otherwise as above).

I've only got my laptop. Specs (on top of my head):

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 @ 2.2 GHz, 4 MB L2 cache

RAM: 2*2 GB Kingston something

HDD: 2*160 GB, 5400 RPM

GPU: Nvidia GeForce 8600M something (256 MB dedicated, 1 GB shared)

Monitor: 1440*900 px (glossy, which sucks because of the sun)

OS: Vista x64/Ubuntu

Fan: Dunno, but too often too loud.

I bought it a couple of years ago. Still plays new games at varying graphics quality. I've been thinking about building a desktop computer as well.

I'm not sure what they base that number off of, but I have mine set on balanced and doing a normal work session, hopping from html-kit, multiple browsers/browser tabs, ftp program, various IMs running, popping in and out of excel or whatever, I get just shy of 5hrs.

Damn... that's awesome battery life.

haha yeah I have to say I'm very happy about that.  And it's a 6-cell too! I'm fine the battery sticking out from the bottom the 1/2 inch or so but 9 or 12 cell would be too much IMO (as far as battery sticking out from bottom), but damn, if I get almost 5hrs out of a 6cell on balanced... I think I'm gonna try running it on "power saver" performance level this weekend.  If I can live with performance loss from that, that will be all the much greater bonus.  I don't use it for games or anything..

My laptop's battery lasts about 10 minutes x.x.

Edit:  You get 5 hours off a 6 cell battery?  WTF?!

Gimp batteries ftl haha.

Blerh guess I might as well post my specs.  They suck though... lol.

Dual Core Pentium D @ 2.8 GHz

(Pentium D = fail)

3GB slow RAM

NVidia GeForce 8500 GT

2x250GB HDD

And I don't remember anything else haha.

And laptop:

Some Intel chip dual core @ 1.6GHz (don't remember which chip x.x)

1GB RAM

80GB HDD

128MB ATI graphics card that I also don't remember....

(My laptop is 3 years old, by the way)

I might as well play along... This is my main dev machine in the office - I don't have the patience to list the specs of all my boxes.

  • Intel Core i7 920 D0
  • Gigabyte EX58-UD3R
  • G.Skill NQ 6GB DDR3 (3x2GB)
  • Hiper 4M880
  • 2 x 64GB Samsung SSD (RAID 0), 1 x 1TB Samsung SATA HDD
  • GeForce 7300 LE
  • GeForce 5200
  • Matrox G450 X4 MMS
  • 3 x 17" TFT
  • Ubuntu 9.04 (64 bit)

I'm going to blow you all out of the water with my development machine at the office.  Steady...

Steady now...

Wait for it...

Pentium 4 3.06Ghz

1GB Ram

GeForce 6600 LE

2x Samsung SyncMaster 2053 BW (20inch?)

150 GB HDD, Probably a single IDE @ 7200RPM, maybe 5400RPM though because it struggles sometimes

WinXP

It actually had 512MB of RAM when I started working here, but I brought in 2x512MB sticks I had at home.  Shame the motherboard only has 2 slots though.

I keep telling my boss to give me a small budget and I'll cherry pick a machine off NewEgg that'll shame every workstation in the office, but he won't do it.

Every time I tell him what a turd it is he says, "We bought you a new motherboard before you got here for the dual monitors!"

:)

  • Cheap 250GB WD hdd I pulled from my last pc - I have a 1TB that has Win7 on it, but I think I'm going to wipe that because I never use 7beta
  • Windows Vista Business SP1
  • 1x 21" LCD, 1x19" LCD
