johnathanhebert Posted June 30, 2009 Share Posted June 30, 2009 Just wanted to introduce a newly opened PHP Framework called Helix that we have developed over the past 6 years. You can download it here from SourceForge. Helix is very easy to install -- just drop the helix folder in your webroot and go to the setup page. It comes with hundreds of pre-designed tables and relationships, as well as the classes that manipulate data in those tables, so you don't have to design the database. Every table/class is customizable, and there is also support for javascript frameworks (ExtJS by default), FlowPlayer for video streaming, Amazon Web Services, Authorize.net and PayPal, and much more. trq Posted July 2, 2009 Share Posted July 2, 2009 The main problem I can see is that there is little to no documentation, your modules aren't named anything remotely useful and the description you have posted on this board sounds more like a CMS then a framework. It is definitely a framework and not a CMS, even if the description made it sound that way. I will update when the documentation is more available... It's a frame, I think, but to build applications on top of it doesn't sound like a pretty idea. I look through the PDF and it looked more like a sales man talking. complex, weird named directory structures. have you heard of KISS?
