Hi All

Right here is one to make you think lol now I carnt use <? include 'filename.php' ?> coz when you click a link in the included file it opens up into a new window where as an iframe opens in the frame

with that in mind is there away to have the iframe update its size acording to how big the included file is Im asking this as one of my files will end up growning so I would like the frame to grow with it so that I dont have a scroll bar at the side

Any ideas?

If you dont no away using Iframe (or using include) is there anyother way todo it that i have not said about?????

Perhaps today is another of those days when senility has taken charge but; if your goal is to avoid having a scroll bar, the answer is NOT having the iframe size increase with the size of the file. Think about it, once the iframe 'grows' larger than the screen a scroll bar will appear.

Making an iframe expand with file size is, I believe, accomplished via javascripting; that being the case, as it appears that the visual presentation is important to you, might I suggest you look at this...

here is more what you are looking for...

http://www.dynamicdr.../iframessi2.htm

Pay attention to this paragraph...

*All external pages loaded into the iframe must be from the same domain as the page the iframe tag is inserted in. Setting the iframe's src to an external site such as "http://www.google.com" will not work, since the script cannot probe and detect the height of pages from external domains.
