Hey people!

Ive searched on this forum for a 'forgotten password' script and so far got nowhere! I had to stop searching because i was getting a head ache! so now i need help!
So could anyone please reply with a script or link?

Id really appreciate that  ;)

make a form that submits some user details of some identifying variable that's in your database.

on submission, search database for a user row that matches the user detail submitted

send email to user (at email address in your datbase) with their lost password

There is no such thing as a "ready-made script" -- as AndyB said, it depends on how you're storing the user data.
Seriously... if people don't start reading this before posting, I'm going to consider not answering at all.

Yes if your encoding the passwords in md5 encryption for example and you didn't save the passwords twice, one as a normal string and one with encryption then you can never obtain the passwords.  Unless you have a super computer that can dechiper md5 encryption lol.
