Who Scripts in Linux based systems and what do you use?

I am not sure if this is the right place to post this however here go's nothing. I am currently working on a system for developing php/mysql and I am using linux because of the full apache/mysql install that can be done locally for testing purposes without uploading just to test. So I am wondering what others out there would recomend for php/mysql development in linux.

NetBeans. And you can setup apache/php/mysql stack on Windows machine as well.

Cool I will look into it. Also I run Apache/PHP/mySQL stacks on Windows I just think that it is a resource hog in windows. Thanks again Mchl

I use Geany for PHP, and for MySQL work I use MySQL Workbench initially for designing the database, then phpMyAdmin once the database has been built.

I use Zend Studio for Eclipse on Linux. As well as MySQL GUI tools. Dislike phpMyAdmin, but stuck with it occasionally. What else's in my programming folder.. Visual Paradigm for UML.  KCacheGrid for xdebug profile visualisation. NetBeans but I don't use it. Aptana Studio, use it because of it's superior JavaScript support. MySQL Workbench for designing DB schema's. Poedit for editing gettext files for i18n apps. Adobe Air app installer. That's about it.

 

No shortage of professional development tools on Linux. Unless you're more of a designer than a developer, in that case you're condemned to windows, maybe you can get away with a Jobs.
