I don't necessarily want someone to write me something for this. I am just wondering how it all works. I am assuming I place some PHP code on my web page where they can enter login info then the program checks it through a MySQL database to see of the given Username and password match. Then if this is true it allows access to more pages.  Is this correct? If it is or is not can someone go a little deeper into discussion with me about this. I am brand new to PHP and MySQL and am tryin to get a site built. I am very interested in learning to do the coding myself rather than have it done for me.

Enjoying it so far.am having a bit of trouble with the registration.php I had to work for about 2 hours to get all of the mysql connection errors gone. Once I got all the fixed now when I run the PHP on my tester the screen it brings up is blank. Any clues on what could be wrong?

set error_reporting to E_ALL, that should help you find out what's going on.
