Cardale
I am using the compression buffer ob and gzip I was wondering how I know if it is gzipped or not?
mrMarcus
you can see with the Web Developer extension for Firefox. Go to the 'Information' header, click 'View Document Size' .. shows content size before and after compression. that's how i do it.
Mchl
In this same menu you can display headers sent by server Look for: Content-Encoding: gzip

keldorn
You can also use Yslow (Nice Firefox ext. for web developing too) , you can look in the components section and will tell you if its gzipped by comparing the gziped size to uncompressed size, or the gzip size will be just empty to indicate its not gziped. Cardale
I used yslow before. It looks like they changed it. It doesn't show the charts any more? Unless I just can find them?
