Funny PHP bug report

Saw this link and had a looksie:

http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=50696

It involves a bug complaint / diaolgue exchange between some developer and Rasmus Lerdorf with regards to some behavior involving number_format()...

As the dialogue progresses, it becomes clear this developer doesn't know who Rasmus is, and accuses him of never having worked in a change-request-release environment lol

Had a good laugh...  :happy-04:

A good laugh indeed.  A truthful part I liked in particular:

Wow, a classic case of how not to treat unpaid volunteers who provide

critical pieces of your money-making infrastructure.

:qft:

FTW my friend... FTW!

Also..

Developer: Please escalate this to someone who can answer the question as to why

this was changed.

Rasmus: Escalate?  Oh how I wish I had someone to escalate to.

lol Instant classic!

Sir.

This issue was recently brought to my attention.

On behalf of PHP I would like to apologize. I see that now that you have

been treated unfairly.

After carefully reviewing this bug report with our board of directors on

4chan, we have come to the conclusion that your "rusty C skills" should

be enough to fix the issue.

I would therefore like to remind you that rasmus@php.net is

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rasmus_lerdorf

Again, I sincerely apologize. We will try to stop fixing bugs in PHP.

LOL for a moment I thought he meant it ;)

Not nearly as bad as the one posted in OP: http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=50729&edit=1

"I posted this problem in Experts Exchange and we couldn't figure it out there either."

Lol okay...

[ot]I can see this topic getting out of control quickly... :\[/ot]

I wrote a GreaseMonkey script to filter out Expert Exchange from Google results.... :P

I caught myself browsing those 'bogus' bug sections for an hour last night. They never get old.
