Are you looking for a complete membership system or just the approval email sending part?

Have you started any of this?  Can you post some code?  Do you have the approval part done or any of the admin panel?

Info: PHP Manual

Somehow I can't get my code between [code][/code] tags in here. This forum will not let me post the code sample!!  ??? ???

It gives me a "server not found" message. Must have something to do with the code itself, I don't know.

Give me your email adres via personal mail and I'll mail it to you.

Do you have script tags in the code? Some html/php code causes this due to a secrity script running on the server. If its a script tag ad spaces around the brakets eg:
< script >code here< /script >

No script tags! However, I have some newlines \n in the example. Can't be.

Post your code to pastebin.com and provide a link to your posted code instead.

quick example only with no support.

on the memebers table you add another field called activated.

activated
varchar 3 not null

add a email snippet at the bottom off the registration code.php

pull the members email from the table and add that to the email snippet

when the user has finished filling out the registration form then the email snippet should email the client with a link going to a page to update the database

link example
<?php session_start();

echo "<a href='myurl.com/update_registration.php?id=$id&cmd=update'>";
?>

when the user got the link from there email address the link goes to an update page

<?php session_start();

select database

if($_GET['cmd']=="update"){

$activated="yes";

$query="update members set activated='$activated' where id='".$_GET['id']."'";
$result=mysql_query($query);

header("location: index.php");
}
?>

now the database has been added with a yes in the members activated field in the database.

on the login code you need to let the script no that if activated ==1 then redirect them to the members page.

good luck.

Thank you very much for the suggestion!
But how is the code like to send the email to the members?
actually the situation is like this:

On the admin page, once i approved them to become active member....
so i will tick the "activate" field ...
so after that an official email membership will email to them...

how does the code works??
anyone has the sample?
thanks!
