PHP on PC?

just wanted to know if there is a way to view a .php file on my standard xp computer (not a server) instead of having to upload onto my host and then viewing it.

install WAMP. you've got to have a localhost (Apache preferred) running on your machine with PHP installed to view them. you can really set up WAMP pretty easily, and it's very non-intensive when it comes to system resources overall, too.
