boombanguk
Hi,I recently posted here about having trouble getting my php code to send emails to a hotmail account. I sorted that out (the problem was with my web host), but now I have another problem. I'm working on a ecard, which means the email that is sent has a URL link in it. The problem is, the URL does not work, when you click on it within the hotmail email page. It opens a new window, but then nothing happens, it just sits there until it times out. Now heres the odd thing. If you cut and paste the URL link from the hotmail window into a new window address bar, it still doesn't work!, but...if you type the URL link from scratch into a new window into the address bar, it works fine.....in other words theres something odd going on with how hotmail puts URL's on the page. So any idea's of how to get around this?? if I Can't then all the hassle of getting emails sent to hotmail was for nothing!thanks for any help.boombanguk
Daniel0
I haven't used hotmail for years, but I believe they use some sort of redirection or frameset on external links in mails. That might be the problem.
