Error installing on OS X

Recommended Posts

I am trying to install PHP 5.1.6 on a G4 with OS 10.3.9 and I get an error right at the end of the install when generating files:

sed: stuff/Modules/php-5.1.6/scripts/Makefile.frag: No such file or directory
sed: stuff/Modules/php-5.1.6/Makefile.frag: No such file or directory
sed: stuff/Modules/php-5.1.6/Zend/Makefile.frag: No such file or directory
cat: /Users/it/Desktop/server: Operation not permitted
cat: stuff/Modules/php-5.1.6/Makefile.global: No such file or directory
...
creating main/internal_functions.c
cat: ./main/internal_functions.c.in: No such file or directory
creating main/internal_functions_cli.c
cat: ./main/internal_functions.c.in: No such file or directory

I know nothing about PHP, very much a newbie here. do I have to create these directories myself? I can't run make either.

Thanks
