Maybe someones picking a color. This in the html page.Red: <input type="radio" checked="checked"name="color" value="male">Blue: <input type="radio" checked="checked"name="color" value="male">Purple:<input type="radio" checked="checked"name="color" value="male">Do I need a different $ in the php for each color?How will only the one picked be sent to the php form?Thank you very much!! akitchin Posted September 29, 2006 Share Posted September 29, 2006 first of all, if the radio button is not selected by the user, $_POST['color'] will not even be sent.second, the radio button enforces that only one may be checked by the user. when the form is submitted, if they checked one, the value of the button they checked will reside in $_POST['color']. however as hackerkts said, if your values are all the same, you will get "male" everytime.
