This is just a start, was just playing in photoshop, new layout for womans page! ;).

I don't like the color and gap between the page top and and where the page starts is too big.

its a Photoshop comp man, that gap wont be there when its cut up and online ;).  Besides the color though, u like or no?

honestly, I like it, except for the color, the layout itself, aside from color isnt' bad, except the dude standing there.

You didn't say what kind of women this was for, but I don't know a lot of women who get turned on  by metallic checkerplate.  Is it for trucker-dudettes?  And what's the worm doing on the right? Sucking out the foundations of the city?

Whether the purple and pink are 'right' depends on your audience - the Barbie Princess and the blue rinse set would react differently.
