to a:visited or not to a:visited

I tend to avoid using a:visited in my elements on a page, but as time passes and I become stringer and stronger at coding I can't help but wonder if it's a good idea to use it.

What's your take/suggestion?

I don't like it. I think it's anoying that visited links are in another color.

I always specify a:visited the same colour as a in my style sheets as I too dislike the differences in colour.

So my vot is to a:visited

Wouldn't it be easier to just avoid defining a:visited then?

no because if you don't they will use the browsers default which in the case of ie is tha awful purple!!!!!

I'd always define it in the same piece of css as a:link, I would never seperate the two as it's not something I, or most users like.
a:link, a:visited {etc..}
