do php files need to be online to work

 

it depends, unless you have a PhP-enabled server on your PC/locally they yes they have to be online to actually do the PHP things.

 

i've used servers before which dont evn do php stuff when i've got it set up 'properly' so yeah, the best thing to do is test online, unless u have a bullet proof local server which works...
