Hi if anyone can please help me it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to install Joomla but prior to this I need to have Apache/PHP & MYSQL running.

My first hurdle is installing the Apache server on my computer, I'm running windows XP; this is the following error that I recieve when I install Apache, and I get an error when I try to start the service.

"Installing the Apache 2.2 Service
The Apache 2.2 service is successfully installed.
Testing httpd.com....
Errors reported here must be corrected before the service can be started.
Syntax error on line 133 of c:/program files/apache software foundation/apache2.2/conf/httpd.conf:
ServerAdmin takes one argument, the email address of the server administrator
Note the errors or messages above"

The settings I used were

localhost
localhost
admin@localhost

Please help thank you

I don't quite understand what you did. The error message is pretty self-explanatory: make sure you have only one entry for the ServerAdmin directive. But if you could post that part of your httpd.conf file, it would be easier to see what you did and diagnose your problem.
