Recommended Posts

Hello everybody !

I'm working with Dreamweaver MX and mysql... I have a simple login form and I just want to pass an URL parameter when login has been successful ...

in the lines code it is this line which works perfect :

-- $MM_redirectLoginSuccess = "modify_home_form.php";

if I pas a value in URL parameters like this :

-- $MM_redirectLoginSuccess = "modify_home_form.php?recordId=7";

(it works perfect also)

Bui I just want to pass the value of the "user_name" , it is suposed to be like this:

$MM_redirectLoginSuccess = "modify_home_form.php?recordId=<?php echo $row_Recordset_users['user_name']; ?>

HOW CAN I PASS AN URL PARAMETER WHIT THIS LINK WHEN LOGIN IS SUCCESSFUL ???

how can I pas the username value to the next page after loggin in ???

any help will be so good.

Gracias anticipadamente !

Fernando.

You don't really need DreamWeaver to generate scripts for you. Using either sessions or cookies, you can set your own custom login information. Set the Username as a cookie variable or session and it will be callable from other pages. Maybe you should try the Login tutorial at this place.
