snoop
Hello Everybody,I come to you with a almost critical problem, I was assigned a project to create an "ideabox" I found exactly what I needed from this website - http://ideabox.phpoutsourcing.com . I'm not very advanced in php and that is why I come to you, I have tried to contact the persons that created this, but the last update they made to the project was somewhere in 2003. Now coming to my question/issue, after installing it on an older apache2triad version that supports php4, I noticed some strange things happening, like after login u click on "add idea" and it automaticly logs you off, or after login u click on logoff and you remain logged in. Does anyone know why this is happening? Please let me know if I make sense. And thank you for any help that you can provide.Adi
AndyB
Maybe, just maybe, the version written in 2003 assumes that register_globals was set to ON, whereas recent php installs assume (the more secure setting of) register_globals = OFF.With a piece of software that's not been updated in 3 years, you may find it easier to re-write the whole thing instead of hiring the mystery programmer at US$200/hour to make the customization changes you need - always assuming you can contact them.
