I have seen openssl_pkcs7_encrypt but this involves the creation of temporary files which I don't really need. Is there a way to do this? According to the manual it states "openssl_pkcs7_encrypt() takes the contents of the file named infile and encrypts them using an RC2 40-bit cipher" Can you give me a little more info on what you are trying to do? Maybe there is a better/different way to do what you are looking for. Are you also looking to be able to decrypt said string/file or is this 1 way (I.E. password, etc..)? titan21 Posted November 8, 2011 Author Share Posted November 8, 2011 It was actually to encode a PayPal button. I believe I need to use PKCS7 to generate the final encrypted button.
