VinceGledhill
Hi People. I am trying to install magento onto my VPS and half way through the installation I get PHP extension "mcrypt" must be loaded. Please can someone explain how to do that. I have a VPS running on Linux. Could you explain it as if you were talking to an idiot. You'd probably be right. Thanks in advance. trq
Ask your hosting provider is probably the easiest way, though you may get a hint by executing.... uname -a It's odd that you wouldn't know.

trq
That doesn't help. That is just your kernel version. You'll need to ask your host.
