I've got a database with a lot of ip addresses. I want to list the country names of them. I'm using the code below.

 

$loc = file_get_contents('http://api.hostip.info/country.php?ip='.$ip);

$countryName=Mage::app()->getLocale()->getCountryTranslation($loc);

echo $countryName;

 

1. echo $loc shows the country code. But I need to echo the Country Name instead of the Country code?

2. Any better ideas to echo the country names using a list of ip addresses?
