Regexp Issue In Parsing: "expression" Gets Mangled

Tried reporting this on IRC before, but I guess it got lost.

 

In any case, whenever I try to post the word "expressions" the forum software inserts a bold-tag in between "exp" and "ressions", even in URLs which makes them broken. This is true despite the status of the rich text editor.

PS: Incidentally, there's a "fun" twist to this. If I make the link with the pure text editor, and then change to the rich text editor, it'll insert the bold tag as HTML instead of BBcode. Removing the HTML tags makes the forum insert the BBcode tags again.

I tried to fix your post here but was completely unable to.

 

It's a server-side bug, if that helps anyone. The Ajax call doesn't contain the bad data.

I've sent a bug report to IPB regarding this and a few other issues.

It looks like it is fixed on the next version. Sadly, I don't have a release date... until then, I guess just use a URL shorter.
