thirdeye Posted February 9, 2006 Share Posted February 9, 2006 Hi All,It would be great if somebody could give me a solution for this problem.I need to connect to a remote mysql server using my local phpmyadmin tool.I added the HOST parameter from localhost to the remote server name.It uses a root username without any password to connect locally in the remote machine.But it is not able to connect to the desired server.Please help.RegardsThird Eye Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
wickning1 Posted February 9, 2006 Share Posted February 9, 2006 MySQL restricts access to certain username@IPAddress combinations, just trying to log in as root is not enough.
