Hi Everyone,

I would like some help to critique my website [a href=\"http://www.goshaka.com\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.goshaka.com[/a] it's an online classifieds site for
Hawaii. We just finished working on the car section of the site please test it and let us know what you think. What should we improve on? Any suggestion for changes ? Please only test the car section. We are working on the other sections.

regards,
Dwain

It looks nice. Should double check all the grammar.

SEMPER FIDELIS!

I can't stop you from doing something silly, but at least I can help you do it right.

Hi, Thanks for the comment. Please help us find the problems now so that we can fix it since we are still in coding mode. Please create accounts and try to upload something. Show us our mistakes so we can fix them. Sorry we don't have much cash or we would offer a reward to anyone who can break our site. We are using php and mysql. We are strong supporter of the open source technology.

regards,
Dwain

Get rid of those borders on hover-it's ugly, I have to say. Also, get rid of the space between the headers of boxes and the sides. Bring down the size of your navigation bar, and outside of that, this all seems quite clean.
Disclaimer: No matter how harsh I may be, I'm always IMO only.

I viewed the site at 1024x800 resolution with Firefox, Netscape Mozille, and Opera. Each shows the site almost identically (image below).

I've no idea what it looks like with IE, but you need to decide do things have borders or not; do boxes get filled to the edges on all four sides or not; are you going to rounded boxes or square boxes; and is it all supposed to be jammed together as you see in the screenshot?

If you want people to do usability testing on your back-end, why don't you set up an account and post the details here instead on making every tester provide all sorts of details before they can test?
Legend has it that reading the manual never killed anyone.

They probably want user creation tested too to see if anyone can manage to screw it up.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for helping us test the car section of [a href=\"http://www.goshaka.com\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.goshaka.com[/a]. Did anyone come accross any error messages while testing ? Did anyone have problems uploading files, pictures, editing their proflies ? If no body had any problems then we are better programmers than we thought. We should be doing conferences on using php and mysql ? What do you all think ?

Dwain

You aren't programmers...your a scripters. Scripters write scripts and programmers write programs. A program is compiled while a script is raw source which requires an interpreter. PHP is a scripting language.

Hey I was just kidding about the conferences. I was hoping that someone would come accross some
error so we can fix it now. Oh well on the job section of [a href=\"http://www.goshaka.com\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.goshaka.com[/a]

Who said anyone was mad? I was simply showing them their mistake. Why should I sit back and watch someone continue on misinformed? I never said the conference was a bad idea. Anytime you can teach someone else something they do not know, you should. Which is what I was doing, teaching them the difference between programmers/programs and scripters/scripts. I am sorry that you took it the wrong way. I am not here to be rude or mean simply to inform.

Come on I am sure someone can find a problem with the site. Please help us find the problems now rather than when the site goes live. [a href=\"http://www.goshaka.com\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.goshaka.com[/a]
