I recently installed apache but for some reason when I type \"http://myipaddress\" I can\'t reach my site. I set my servername to localhost so I could type my ip address to get to my site. What did I not do? (btw if you need any info like version of apache just ask)

Some times ISP\'s block port 80 access from the out side world.

Also, routers, NAT\'s ad firewalls will block TCP/UDP access on port 80 unless you manually open it for incoming access.

if youre using a router, you need to set up a DMZ(demiliterised zone) on port 80 pointing to your internal IP address...

But yeah, it can be a pain at times... I have had to use a redirect service before. www.mydomain.com then points to www.mydomain.com:8080 hehe
