help with PHP email problem.....urgent...

Hi,

I am trying to send out an important message to my email list, and have been having some problems.  I have used the PHP email program for a long time, and have never had problems until now.  Here's the problem:

 

I send an email out to my main mailing list(a relatively large list), and it reaches only a couple of people.  Then, for any other emails I try to send out within the next hour, I get this message back:

 

QUOTED MESSAGE:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its

recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

 

  exampleemail@gmail.com

    Domain exampleexample.com has exceeded the max emails per hour. Message discarded.

 

 

The only thing that has changed since I last sent out an email is that Rochen(web server/host) has made some CGI changes to their server....I have no idea what this means, how it affects me, and how I can fix it.  Does this sound like a familiar problem to anyone else?

This is a limitation that your host has applied by the looks of it.  Google brought me loads of results about it!

is that example email yours or someone elses?

 

This is email issue not PHP, sounds like your using gmail as a smarthost and they have set a limit on how many people you can email via smarthost in an hour, give you gmail account a go at emailing from gmail eb interface if it is your email saying that.

I was just using the gmail address as an example of the message I get when I try to send anything out after mailing to my large list (and the people on the large list aren't receiving the messages either).
