Help, installation/problems woes

Recommended Posts

Currently I am running SUse10 and using YAST for the installs following this tutuorial

[a href=\"http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/595.html\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/595.html[/a]

I would appreciate any help I can get on this as I am trying to setup a freeradius server.

Basically to shorten this up I have completed the installation of php and apache through yast and the required mySQL dependencies and libraries.

/etc/apache2
/etc/php.ini

Now this is where I get problems following this tutorial. ON the test my progress I do everything as described and create the info.php to test it.

/home/superboy/public_html/info.php

but when I go to my URL [a href=\"http://localhost/~superboy/info.php\" target=\"_blank\"]http://localhost/~superboy/info.php[/a] it doesn't work.

I get the old ERROR 404 not found on this server.

I have also tried putting info.php into the /srv/www folder with no luck either.

i was thinking maybe i didn't have something in httpd.conf configured correctly but coudln't find anything in particular.

phpMyadmin i stoped trying to work after not getting the info.php thing to work. I don't know what my probelm is exactly so any help would be appreciated. Is my browser not recognizing localhost as me and going ot right directory?

I'm about to blow it all away and start over again not using YAST to see if this helps at all but I probably missing something simple.
