Hi,

I am creating a system where users have to specify which person they wish to assign to a project. I was searching your forum for all my posts today and say in your advanced search options, when you start to type the name it auto completes from the memberlist. HOW DO YOU DO THAT?!? - its amazing and just what i need

Cheers

I've seen examples using JavaScript and AJAX that will show you a list of options as you type to autocomplete but i can't remember where I saw it now or how it worked!

Yeah firefox can do that, but only for things you've typed, and if you told it to. This was a case of it showing things I've never seen before, typing part of my own user name and it bringing up other usernames that contained those letters from the database and showing it as a drop down menu pinned to the bottom of the text box.
