Slow slow slow

Hi

Not sure what mu problem is. Puchased a readymade calendar that runs perfectly for everyone else but for me it runs like a dog.

It's been suggested that it's a php/mysql problem

I'm running phpv5.01 mysqlserver 4.1

the calendar is at [a href=\"http://www.paktec.co.uk/calendarix/calendar.php\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.paktec.co.uk/calendarix/calendar.php[/a]

I know it's heavy on css but it does work on other sites.

If I run phptest I did notice that my server api is aspi and on the calendarix site it's cgi could that be why?
If I run it locally it's very fast

Can some nice person take pity on me and point me in the right direction?

if its heavy on mysql how much memory is set for mysql on the box. (if your running is local)
