hi i'm using windows xp home edition. i followed the intructions on this web - [a href=\"http://www.jamiejamie.com/?q=node/44\" target=\"_blank\"]http://www.jamiejamie.com/?q=node/44[/a]

on [a href=\"http://localhost/\" target=\"_blank\"]http://localhost/[/a] i did see a default apache website. but if i do a <?phpinfo?> on notepad with a .php extension. and do a run on apache it comes out the codes that i type in the notepad. did i configured anything wrongly? i'm using php5.1.3, apache 2.0.55.

Make sure you are saving it as filename.php and not filename.php.txt. To make sure yo uare not saving it as filename.php.txt when you go to save make sure the file type menu has All Files selected and then save it as filename.php

Also how have you configured your Apache server to parse php files as I cannot get on the site you have provided to see how "jamie" sets up Apache/PHP on your PC.
