PHP Results & Decimals

I'm making little scripts that calculate whatever numbers. Some results come out nicely like 5.5 or 10.29. However, some come out like 3.6666666667. Is it possible to force it to be a certain number? Like if I want them all to have two decimal places, could I do that? Or maybe even no decimal places at all?

Example of what I'm doing:

$a = $b * $c;

Then $a equals like 504.666666667. I want 504.67 if possible.
