i'm wondering if there is a LEGEND for these error messages?

for example say;

[!--quoteo--][div class=\'quotetop\']QUOTE[/div][div class=\'quotemain\'][!--quotec--]Fatal error: Call to undefined function: control_message_box() in C:\apache\Apache2\htdocs\mygallery\tests\error_messages.php on line 23

although that sample is easy to understand but some error messages
are puzzling us the meanings?

so anybody knows how to deal with these matter?

I don't know of any legends for this, but whenever I get an error message that doesn't make much sense to me, I just drop it into Google, somewhere, someone has had the same error and has found out what it means - if it isn't obvious ofcourse.
