finding username and password with mysql

hi, can any body help i have installed php locally as a package using easy php
it does defentally work though how can i find what my mysql database username
and password is.cansome one please help p.s sorry if i am posting in wrong part of forum close
this topic if i am [img src=\"style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/wink.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\":wink:\" border=\"0\" alt=\"wink.gif\" /] i need to know this so i can edit the config.php file all help would be greatful !

Try with just root as the username and then leave your password as blank first. If that doesn't work then consult the easyphp manual/FAQ
