mysql regular expressions

Hi,

I want to build something similar to googles "wordtosearch" facility.
I basically want to restrict a search so that it picks out the particular word rather than being part of another.
For example, i want to search on the word "panda". I dont want to have results that include words such
as "expandable". I only want "panda" matches.

I guess this could be done using regular expressions. could someone help?

Thanks
Paul
