Adaptive Payments through paypal seems the way to go. Any help or resources on how to facilitate user to user payments using this service are appreciated.

Stripe.com looks helpful, but I see nothing more about user to user payments.

The only way I'm going to get better is to attempt things I'm unfamiliar with. Ideally I'd like to work with the paypal api unless there are better suggestions. I was looking a little bit at their Adaptive Payments system and was wondering if this would be a good choice for this type of user to user payment system. I may opt for a virtual currency in the end, which would make things a little easier, but I would prefer to leave that as a last resort.

Sorry, I am only an intermediate programmer. Could you be more specific about the backend process... or give me a source that would explain how to facilitate payments this way.

I need to create a website that allows the users to buy and sell from each other without leaving the website, such as the standard paypal method. How would I do this?
