  1. Thanks for your reply. In the end though, I worked out that I had to dump the contents of the table from within phpmyAdmin and then open a new phpmyAdmin window. Using the command UPDATE `links` set email = email_cust the data was read from the dump and copied from email_cust into the email field. Yippee! don\'t have to cut and paste 1330 email addresses. Thanks again
  2. Please help! I am trying to transfer data from one column (\"email_cust\") in a table to another column (\"email\") in the same table using phpMyAdmin. Renaming the columns doesn\'t do it since the data is then in the wrong place in the table. The table is called \"links\". I have tried the following: UPDATE `links` set email = email_cust; but get the message \"The directory you set for upload work cannot be reached\" Can anybody tell me what to do? Thanks in anticipation. :!:
