Why would CODE = 'colname2' , aren't you expecting a number? The AND is picky and require an exact match. The OR will take either condition of PRODUCT or CODE matching. -
The value will remain at the highest for that size field.

You trying to update the key field of the table, drop the key = from the update ( but leave it in the where ) and it should work.
