1. Hey All, I wasn't really sure where to ask this so if it's in the wrong place, I apologize. I'm a total noob to PHP coding, so right now, there is absolutely no way I could do this without some help, actually, a WHOLE LOT of help.  ;D I would like to try a project that should serve 2 purposes: 1. Allow me to learn some useful coding skills 2. Leave me with something useful as well, other than just a bunch of random code snippets. I don't know if anyone here is extremely familiar with the FPS game Counter-Strike: Source or not, but I would like to make a server monitor for my server that I can place on a webpage. I know you can download a few free ones, and I would like mine to basically work the same as those, but I have noticed that most of them leave little or no room for customization unless you pay a fee. I'm not asking any one to make this for me, I want to do it myself so I can learn, but I will also admit that I don't have a clue as to how to even start and that's why I could use some help. I'm rambling, and chances are, I probably asked this in the wrong place, but I had to try. Thanks in advance for any help...
2. Could you provide the code of the page?
Well, I don't know if you are familiar with SAM Broadcaster 3 or not, but the index.php actually is a call to another page called playing.php, which in turn requires config.php and so on. There are several interconnected pages that all work together to produce the webpage that is seen on the net.
3. I can find nothing wrong with my PHP install and I get no errors when accessing the page in question, however, when I access it the browser's title bar shows the correct page, but it's completely blank. /huh.gif\" style=\"vertical-align:middle\" emoid=\"\" border=\"0\" alt=\"huh.gif\" /] What would cause this to happen?
4. Some of the earlier versions of PHP had security problems, so it would not be advisible to use them. Ken
I had my SAM3 site working with the older version of PHP like a charm, then my hd fried and I had to start over. I lost that version of PHP along with all the little whistles and bells that I had to go with it. I set everything back up and it all seems to work except for the fact that 1) I have to comment out ALL extensions to avoid errors, 2) I only get a blank page. I set up everything the way it was before my hard drive gave up the ghost, using a 5.x version of PHP is the only difference. I can't find the exact post, but somewhere in the Spacial Audio forums is a post/tutorial that plainly states that PHP 5 is not compatable with SAM3. I don't recall seeing a reason why it was said to be incompatable, just that it was. If I run across it again, I will post a link. I run my own webserver using IIS 6.0 & Windows Server 2003
5. I run a prog that is not compatable with v5 of php (SAM Broadcaster v3). I need one of the 4.x versions of PHP with all GD and matching PECL. I would prefer early 4.3.x, or somewhere in that range. Is there somewhere to find it? I have checked the PHP website but they only seem to go back to 4.4.2. Thanks for any help you can provide.
