    nevermind, i got it- all i had to do was move all the files for the install to C:mysql and it worked

    hi, i\'m having trouble installing MySQL in Windows XP, i\'m just now starting with PHP & MySQL and would like to get my feet off the ground. i tried several different releases, all with the same problem, i unzip them and run setup.exe and get an error: anyone else had this problem? how can i fix it?
