1. Yes, indeed it is very possible. if we fiddle about with your select statement we can work it out.... When the user submits we run the script below.
$id4 = $_SESSION['kt_login_id']; mysql_select_db($database_vistion, $vistion); $update_basket = "UPDATE vistion_basket SET unique_number = $UN WHERE id_copy ='$id4'"; query($update_basket);
Is this too simplistic?
 2.
$file = file_get_contents("mainnews.php"); echo '<textarea name="textarea">" ' . $file . ' "</textarea>';
You may find extra quotation marks work.
 3. Hello All This script has been knocking about the internet for years, It allows the user to select and delete multiple rows of the database from an html/php page using checkboxes. I have used it on many occasions, however I note that if I use an image rather then the submit button, I cannot set the variable $delete. Therefore the delete checker doesn't operate. Is there a simple way to run this script with an image as a submit button?
mysql_connect("$host", "$username", "$password")or die("cannot connect"); mysql_select_db("$db_name")or die("cannot select DB"); $sql="SELECT * FROM $tbl_name"; $result=mysql_query($sql); $count=mysql_num_rows($result); ?> <table width="400" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="0"> <tr> <td><form name="form1" method="post" action=""> <table width="400" border="0" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" bgcolor="#CCCCCC"> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF">&nbsp;</td> <td colspan="4" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><strong>Delete multiple rows in mysql</strong> </td> </tr> <tr> <td align="center" bgcolor="#FFFFFF">#</td> <td align="center" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><strong>Id</strong></td> <td align="center" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><strong>Name</strong></td> <td align="center" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><strong>Lastname</strong></td> <td align="center" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><strong>Email</strong></td> </tr> <?php while($rows=mysql_fetch_array($result)){ ?> <tr> <td align="center" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><input name="checkbox[]" type="checkbox" id="checkbox[]" value="<? echo $rows['id']; ?>"></td> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><? echo $rows['id']; ?></td> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><? echo $rows['name']; ?></td> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><? echo $rows['lastname']; ?></td> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><? echo $rows['email']; ?></td> </tr> <?php } ?> <tr> <td colspan="5" align="center" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"><input name="delete" type="submit" id="delete" value="Delete"></td> </tr> <? // Check if delete button active, start this if($delete){ for($i=0;$i<$count;$i++){ $del_id = $checkbox[$i]; $sql = "DELETE FROM $tbl_name WHERE id='$del_id'"; $result = mysql_query($sql); } // if successful redirect to delete_multiple.php if($result){ echo "<meta http-equiv=\"refresh\" content=\"0;URL=delete_multiple.php\">"; } } mysql_close(); ?> </table> </form> </td> </tr> </table>
Thanks in advance Daniel
